Composite

Part:BBa_K180004

Designed by: Richard Wilson, Stephanie Chambers   Group: iGEM09_Southampton   (2009-10-16)

Game of Life - Primary plasmid

Composite part, consisting of BBa_K180005 and BBa_K180006, but with BBa_K180005 reading along reverse strand, and BBa_K180006 reading along the forward strand.

BBa_K180005 reads along reverse strand, and BBa_K180006 reads along the forward strand to ensure the constitutive promoter BBa_J23119 (present in BBa_K180005) has no effect over LacI or GFP-LVA expression in BBa_K180006.

LacI and GFP-LVA are generated under lux pR regulation, whilst LuxR is constitutively produced.

Usage and Biology

This part has been specified as a basic BioBrick, due to some of the component parts reading in reverse (unable to specify using the component BioBrick format).

To function in the Game of Life design by Team:Southampton, the part has to be used in conjunction with K180007.
