hsl1 - cell cycle dependent degradation tag in yeast

This BioBrick is the C-terminal domain (amino acid: 667 -872) of the yeast Hsl1 protein. Hsl1p is a protein kinase which is implicated in a mitosis related checkpoint. Hsl1p is degraded via the anaphase-promoting complex.<br\n> It has been shown that this C-terminal region of the protein is sufficient to get cell cycle specific degradation via the APC-Cdc20 and the APC-Cdh1 complex.
