Chloramphenicol resistance gene+FRT

Chloramphenicol resistance gene + FRT

Chloramphenicol is effective against a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including most anaerobic organisms. This part includes a gene which has resistance to chloramphenicol.

In our project, we use this part as a marker to select colonies of E.coli which succeeded in transformation.

FRT is recombination site of FLP. FLP cause homologous recombination between two FRT sites.
