Examining the effect of a single base mutation in a RBS sequence on RFP production

We are testing the effect of changing the second base pair in a known RBS sequence from A to G on the amount of RFP expression. The relative red fluorescence protein (RFP) data indicates the translation efficiency of mRNA. By changing this single base pair, the relative RFP expression will be lesser, suggesting that the translation efficiency decreases when the RBS sequence is mutated.
