HokD terminator

  • A terminator is a sequence of nucleotides in DNA that signals the end of transcription. During transcription, RNA polymerase reads the DNA and synthesizes a corresponding RNA molecule. When the polymerase reaches the terminator sequence, it stops transcription, releases the RNA transcript, and detaches from the DNA template. Terminators ensure that RNA molecules are transcribed with the correct length and that transcription stops at the appropriate point.
