turboRFP (yeast)

Turbo Red Fluorescent Protein (turboRFP) is an orange fluorescent protein isolated from Entacmaea quadricolor with excitation and emission maxima 553 and 574 respectively. It possesses prolonged fluorescence lifetime and high pH-stability, and is fast-maturing TurboRFP is more than twice brighter than DsRed2 [1].

It could be used as a selection marker or used for protein detection if fused with another protein. This sequence is codon optimized for expression in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
