Lysozyme derived from Bacillus licheniformis
Lysozyme is an enzyme which cleaves the peptidoglycan layer of the bacterial cell wall and thus kills the affected bacteria. This lysozyme is derived from Bacillus licheniformis. It has been shown that LysBL does not have a negative effect on B. subtilis but its activity against cyanobacteria is, to our knowledge, still unknown.
