TetR (384G>A)
TetR gene encodes is a modified coding region of TetR (BBa_C0040) in which the G nucleotide in position 384 has been changed to A in order to avoid the BsaI restriction site which is found in the original coding region. TetR is an inducer that binds to pTet promoter leading to the expression of downstream genes controled by pTet. Under the addition of tetracycline or its analog aTc (anhydrotetracycline) which is known to bind to tetR, the expression of the gene downstream gets inhibited.
