pENTR tagBFP
tagBFP is a monomeric blue fluorescent protein. We used hEF1a-tagBFP as a transfection marker in several of our experiments.

Our team used hEF1a-tagBFP as a transfection marker for some of our experiments. This particular experiment characterizing the EGSH promoter measured blue fluorescent output from hEF1a-tagBFP to analyze how many copy numbers of plasmids the cells uptook. The graph shows an increase in blue fluorescence corresponds with an increase in red fluorescence at the basal level (uninduced without the coactivator), indicating that when more hEF1a-BFP plasmids are uptaken, so is the plasmid of interest, in this case pEGSH-mKate.
This is an image of the tagBFP's blue florescence in HEK293 cells.
