Contents: Pveg - rbs - mlsR - T004 What it is: Pveg is a constitutive promoter. An rbs, or ribosome binding site, is a sequence of nucleotides upstream of the start codon of an mRNA transcript. What it does: Pveg constitutively expresses the P43 protein in B. subtilis. rbs is responsible for the recruitment of a ribosome during the initiation of translation.
