Design Notes

We designed forward and reverse primers with the appropriate standard BioBrick restriction sites (EcoRI, XbaI, SpeI, PstI) on each primer in order to put it on psb1C3. One out of two sets of primers included a histidine tag, which would be used to isolate DspB after it is expressed.

Source

The gene that encodes our protein, DspB, stems from the bacteria Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans.
