The glv operon that is induced by maltose.
The glv operon primarily consists of three functional genes: glvA, glvR, and glvC. Among them, glvC encodes a membrane transporter protein, whose main function is to transport extracellular maltose into the cell and phosphorylate it through phosphoenolpyruvate kinase.
