LuxO D47E with strong RBS

This is an intermediate part of an incomplete circuit that is supposed to contain B0034-K218015-B0015-K131017. LuxOD47E is one of only a few proteins that acts directly on a promoter: the qrr4 promoter. Because LuxOD47E (K218015) mimics the phosphorylated, active form of the LuxO protein (Vibrio harveyi ), it is, when expressed, able to bind to the qrr4 promoter (K131017) and activate transcription of any gene placed downstream of this promoter. Any promoter could therefore be placed in front of this circuit and any gene could be placed downstream, and it would be transcribed.
