PTC amiRNA

An aritificial micro RNA used to silence the expression of the Phosphate Transport Channel 1 (PTC1) gene in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii thus removing the PTC1 transport protein from the central vacuole of the cell and preventing leakage of phosphate back into the environment in which our modified C. reinhardtii cell is placed.

Assembly verification

Successful insertion of the Ptc amiRNA was confirmed by PCR of the colonies, showing an increase of 100 bp of the PCR product.
