ALOXE3
Usage and Biology
ALOXE3 encodes for the protein Epidermis-type lipoxygenase-3 (eLOX-3), an enzyme which is involved in the oxidation of fatty acids to create fatty acids hydroperoxides [1].
The gene codes for one of the enzymes used for iGEM24_Linkoping substitution therapy for Ichthyosis.
