PcW

PcW is a common promoter discovered in Pseudomonas aeruginosa, whose characteristic is a low degree of gene activating ability, ensuring a decent expression of hok/sok. As a constitutive promoter, PcW is able to come into effect at any situations, which secures the normal expression of hok mRNA when the concentration of citrate is down and sok stops expressing.
