Digoxigenin binding protein (DigA)

This part functions as a linker to another part/protein ,which is labeled with digoxigenin.

Usage and Biology

Normally a digoxigenin antibody is use for Nonradioactive in situ hybridization.
We used this part to connect our universal restriction endonuclease protein domains to digoxigenin labeled oligos. These oligos were hybridized with ssDNA and so the made a connection between the protein and the DNA. Another possiblity is to use TFO's(triplex-forming oligonucleotides)labeled with digoxigenin, to made a connection between dsDNA and protein.
