According to the Registry information attached to this page, this sequence is not what it should be. We have therefore made a new BioBrick of the Xenorhabdus (Photorhabdus) luminescens luxAB genes, encoding the luciferase itself, and confirmed that it is active: see BBa_K216008. We are also preparing a separate BioBrick encoding the luxCDE genes which synthesise the aldehyde substrate, so that this can be placed under a separate promoter if desired.
