Applications of BBa_K4815021

E. coli heat-labile enterotoxin subunit B (LTB) is an important oral vaccine adjuvant widely used to prevent various diseases such as cholera, traveler’s diarrhea, and E. coli infection. It has been a popular way to link LTB with antigen to enhance immune response, since LTB is an efficient mucosal adjuvant and carrier molecule for the generation of mucosal antibody responses and induction of systemic T-cell tolerance to linked antigens.
