The sequences include a 3'UTR region + terminator. The sequences were amplified by PCR from the total DNA of the wild type Phaeodactylum tricornutum CCAP 1055/1. chloroplast promoters are eubacterial in origin and thus compatible with gene expression in bacteria at a medium strength [1,2].
