pNP Mut 1-1

The pNP Mut 1-1 is a gene that encodes the activation protein for downstream GFP expressions. As the pNP (p-nitrophenol) in the environment increases, pNP molecule binds to the pNP Mut 1-1 protein and acts as a transcriptional factor for GFP. In our experiment, we measure the level of GFP fluorescence to determine the success of paraoxon degradation. After the pNP Mut 1-1 protein is used, the pNP Mut 1-1 gene is expressed again, continuing the cycle.
