Overview

This part is CvNDI1, a nitrogen starvation induced promoter from Chlorella vulgaris to be used in microalgal expression chassis. This part is derived from the following publication: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-69620-9

Usage and Biology

CvNDI1 is a strong promoter induced via nitrogen starvation. This promoter is derived from the urea carboxylase, and can be used to increase expression up to 20-fold as compared to wild-type expression.
This component is a promoter region to be added before the coding sequence of the protein of interest. The activation of the promoter must be induced via nitrogen starvation.
