DESIGN NOTES

It is widely use in eukaryotic cells. In addition, as ist is an antimicrobial peptide is desired to express it under medium strenght promoter, in order to mantain the concentration of a toxic target protein just below a host strain's tolerance. The PelB sequence allows the peptide to be sent to a periplasmic space for easier purification and an histidine tag for IMAC purification.

SOURCE

This sequence was obtained from the GenBank (MW048779.1) as a synthetic construct fot th production of a recombinant Dermaseptin peptide in Nicotiana tabacum hairy roots with enhanced antimicrobial activity.
