SV40 poly(A) signal

  • The Simian Virus polyadenylation signal has transcription termination activity and it adds a PolyA tail to the newly transcribed mRNA. Addition of PolyA tail makes the mRNA more stable, prevents degradation and ensures proper delivery of the mature mRNA from the nucleus into the cytoplasm
