fimH
FimH is the distal protein found at the tip of the type 1 fimbriae.1 The type 1 fimbriae plays a role in the adherence of Salmonella Typhimurium to the host cells, whereby mannose-containing glycoproteins can be bound by FimH.
As a part of our project "Target Taxi", we aim to fuse rBC2LCN (<a href="https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K3861001">BBa_K3861001</a>), a lectin able to bind specifically to several cancer cell types, to FimH for surface display.
