Design Notes

This sequence has limited compatibility, and we were not able to explore silent mutations that could improve compatibility within the competition timeframe. We strongly encourage future teams to retain optimization for photosynthetic chassis organisms while improving compatibility.

This terminator was part of an established kanamycin resistance cassette in the Miami University Wang microbiology lab for use in Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942.
