Glycine-Serine linker (GSSGS)

Flexible 5 amino acid linker, translates to GSSGS. Has been codon-optimized for E. coli.

Usage and Biology

The glycine residues render conformational flexibility due to relaxed steric constraints and the serine residues ensure solvation and thus prevent aggregation.
