YtvA Blue Light Receptor for B.subtilis

YtvA is a blue light receptor endogenously found in B.subtilis. Activation of the YtvA light receptor activates the mild stress response pathway, accumulating in sigma B activation. Previous research has shown that the sigma B response to blue light light exposure is enhanced by the over expression of the YtvA receptor 1. This part can be over expressed YtvA to enhance the transcriptional output of sigma B promoters in response to blue light.
