Bacillus subtilis TAT signal peptide YwbN


In addition to PhoD (BBa_K3889050) another known Twin Arginine Translocase(Tat) signal peptide is the leader sequence of Bacillus subtilis substrate YwbN. However, unlike PhoD signal peptide, this signal peptide directs the protein through the Tat secretory pathway exclusively.

Although the efficiency of secretion is ultimately dependent on multiple factors including conformation of the protein, cellular environment, etc. this part might be used for secretion of different recombinant proteins in Bacillus subtilis
