Nuclease domain of Colicin E3

Description

Inactivates ribosomes by hydrolyzing 16S RNA in 30S ribosomes at a specific site, we used it to construct chimeric bacteriocin SE.

Biology

The nuclease domain inactivates ribosomes by hydrolyzing 16S RNA in 30S ribosomes at a specific site and kills the cell. The nuclease domain interacts with the immunity protein.
