Introduction

This sequence codes for the 9-lipoxygenase which transforms linoleic and linolenic acids into their hydroperoxyde forms. This sequence is codon optimized for expression into S. elongatus. The 9-LOX sequence comes from Nicotiana benthamiana and is described in the publication of (Vincenti et al, 2019).


Testing

The Toulouse team could not test this part for reasons of time, and preferred to focus on the parts characterization that allow the production of molecules responsible for the floral aspect of the violet perfume.
