Introduction
The promoter Ptrc-riboswitch E comes from the design of the publication Nakahira et al. 2013. It comprises a double regulation of the downstream gene expression. The first is a transcriptional regulation by the IPTG-inducible TRC promoter. The second regulation is post-transcriptional, as a theophylline-inducible aptamer sequesters the RBS essential for mRNA translation. This promoter has been originally described for cyanobacterium Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942 control of gene expression.
