Design Notes

pBAD has been intensively investigated and has tight regulation upon downstream genes. It is a suitable promoter for regulating antitoxin genes because pBAD can induce very high levels of RelE expression to neutralize toxic effects of RelB. We optimized the codon for the expression of the gene in E. coli.
