RBS*

This part corresponds with an Ribosome Binding SIte sequence specifically designed for the cyanobacteria Synechocystis PCC6803. This RBS corresponds with a SD consensus sequence for PCC 6803 allowing up to 5-fold higher expression than the typical E. coli AGGAGG consensus sequence.

The part has been assembled in accordance with the design guidelines of Marburg Collection https://2019.igem.org/Team:Marburg/Part_Collection.

Despite that the part sequence does not include the resulting MoClo Overhangs after level 1 assembly. Then the level 0 part includes the overhangs TACTAGAG in the 5’ end of the sequence, and the bases TAATCAATG in the 3’ end of the sequence.
