6xHis-Tag for protein purification
A 6xHis-tag is a sequence consisting of 6 histidines often used a protein tag for purification. The tag binds to certain metal ions (Ni2+, Co2+) which is useful for immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC) [1].
