HBD3 in yeast regulated by MET17p

This part aims to secrete HBD3(human β-defensin-2) with yeast. In this part, MET17 promoter displays repression of transcriptional expression when methionine or S–adenosylmethionine exist(Møller et al. 2017). Especially, high methionine concentrations repress this promoter and transcription occurs below 0.05 mM methionine. By connecting the secretion signal peptide to HBD3, this part makes yeast secrete HBD3 when MET17 promoter is activated.
