BMAP-18 is an antimicrobial peptide (AMP) effective against P. aeruginosa, S. maltophilia and trypanosomatid parasites. It is the 18 amino acids long, truncated version of the antimicrobial peptide BMAP-27. Compared to BMAP-27, BMAP-18 has an increased target specificity and increased efficiency.
