Elastin-like polypeptide optimized V16
This part produce Elastin-like polypeptide, which is the key to create elastic potential energy, giving bacterial cellulose elasticity.
It's noteworthy that, in our Protein Crosslinking design, we intended to link a triplication of SpyTag003 or SpyCatcher003 through elastin-like polypeptide. Moreover, elastin like polypeptide would be expressed in both P. Pastoris and E. coli, respectively. Therefore, codon optimization must be applied in order to avoid homologous recombination and fit the chassis organism. As a result, we synthesized 20 versions of genes coding the same elastin-like polypeptide sequence based on the 10 versions of codon optimization of P. Pastoris and 10 versions for the codon optimization of E. coli. Names for those 20 versions of CDS are documented from Elastin-like polypeptide optimized V1 to Elastin-like polypeptide optimized V20, in which the Elastin-like polypeptide optimized V1-V10 are for P. Pastoris, and Elastin-like polypeptide optimized V11-20 are for E. coli. Sequence and Features
