Streptococcus cristatus aquaporin (AQP)
Aquaporin is a transmembrane protein with the ability to facilitate bidirectional diffusion of water and H2O2. The DNA sequence was optimized for S. mutans UA159 and synthesized by Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), Inc. In addition to The gene works well in E. coli . The function was demonstrated in our work, which is consistent with the result in a paper by Huichun Tong, et al (J. Biol. Chem. (2019) 294(12) 4583–4595).
