The PhrC peptide inhibits the RapC protein acting on the ComA

The PhrC peptide inhibits the RapC protein acting on the ComA response regulator for competence regarding DNA transformation (Stephenson et al., 2003). Response regulator aspartate phosphatase (RapC) regulator / competence and sporulation stimulating factor (CSF)(Mader et al., 2011). Surfactin production, competence, and Sporulation enhancer. Jung et al. confirmed that the overexpression of signaling factor ComX and PhrC could successfully increase the production of surfactin (Hu et al., 2019). The production of surfactin was successfully increased by the individual overexpression of comX and phrC (Jung et al., 2012).
