RBS region for botR gene from C. botulinum

RBS region for the botR gene in C. botulinum

Usage and Biology

This part entry represents the RBS from the alternative sigma factor-encoding gene botR. BotR is a positive regulator of neurotoxin production. In our project we use the botR RBS as part of the whole regulatory region for the expression of botR comprising PbotR and its native 5'-UTR containing the RBS (BBa_K2992014). This part was also used in conjunction with botR lacking its native promoter to allow for polar expression from the pyrDKE operon on the C. sporogenes genome, following genomic integration of the respective botR-expression module .
