TGFbRI/Taz Chimeric Receptor Device

This part is a chimeric between extracellular (CEA-sensing) domain of Homo sapiens transforming growth factor beta receptor I (TGFbRI) receptor and transmembrane+intracellular domain of Escherichia coli Tar/EnvZ receptor.

Usage and Biology

This part can be used to detect B3 domain of CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) as it has CEA binding domain of type II TGF-β receptor (TβRII). The binding results in the activation of signalling pathway in E. coli as it has Tae/EnvZ transmembrane+intracellular domain.
