This membrane protein is part of our detection system in L. reuteri. It is one of the members of the two-component detection system, adapted from C. difficile, that can bind the Autoinducing peptide (AIP), and, in response, transduce signalling to AgrA2. The composite parts containing this AgrC2 protein are BBa_K3183102, and BBa_K3183300
