Tobacco Vein Mottling Virus Protease Cleavage Site
Profile
Name | Tobacco Vein Mottling Virus (TVMV) Protease Cleavage Site |
Base pairs | XX |
Origin | Tobacco Vein Mottling Virus (TVMV) |
Properties | recognition site for the TVMV protease |
Usage and Biology
This part includes the TVMV Protease cleavage site. TVMV cleaves the sequence ETVRFQS. We are using this recognition site to cut our protein in front of its polyG-tag so it has a C-terminal polyG-tag that can be used in a Sortase A reaction.
Sequence and Features
Assembly Compatibility:
- 10COMPATIBLE WITH RFC[10]
- 12COMPATIBLE WITH RFC[12]
- 21COMPATIBLE WITH RFC[21]

- 25COMPATIBLE WITH RFC[25]
- 1000COMPATIBLE WITH RFC[1000]
The TVMV protease cuts after the final Gln. Cleavage works best if the following amino acid is Gly or Ser, but other amino acids at P1' except proline <a href="http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/pro.506" target="_blank">work as well</a>
