LCI, polymer binding peptide
LCI (Liquid Chromatography peak I) is a binding peptide for polystyrene and polypropylene. It can be used to functionalize or tag polymers with proteins fused to the c-terminus of LCI. We used this part to tag polypropylene and polystyrene with eGFP.
===Usage and Biology=== Therefore we made a fusion protein: eGFP - 17x helix - LCI. This Construct was expressed under a T7 promoter in E. coli BL21. The soluble protein fraction was purified and binding was tested in microtiter plates. Sequence and Features
