ACS Operon (acs, yfcH, actP)

This ACS operon is composed of three genes: actP (Transports acetate) acs (catalyzes the conversion of acetate into acetyl-CoA) and yfcH (epimerase)[Gimenez R et al., 2003]. This part is useful to increase the overexpression of the operon and thus, the uptake of acetate into the cell to metabolize it into other substrates.
