PhyBNT-Zif268

The N-Terminal of the light-sensitive photoreceptor PhyB linked to a Zif268 zinc finger. This is piece of the PhiReX system that constantly binds to the DNA. Dimerizes with PIF3 (BBa_K2805006) when induced by red (650 nm wavelength) light. When PIF3 is fused to a VP flag, the system will activate transcription of a downstream gene under the influence of red light. Optimized for use in S. cerevisiae.

Warning: will not work in S. cerevisiae without also expressing non-native chromophores HY1 and PcyA
