Carbonic anhydrase 2


This part is the coding sequence (CDS) of human carbonic anhydrase (CA-II), because Carbonic Anhydrase II (CA2) is a metalloenzyme that can efficiently catalyze the formation of HCO3- from CO2 and H2O. This reaction is highly efficient with H+. The reaction rate is extremely fast, and the histidine tag (His-Tag) is linked to the coding sequence (CDS) to facilitate the purification of carbonic anhydrase protein.
