Applications of BBa_I741001

The HSL Receiver construct restores motility in motB knockout strain RP3087 on induction with HSL. The plasmid is sensitive to HSL concentrations as low as 1nM (publication pending). Assays have been completed by mixing cells producing AHL with "Receiver Cells" and plating on low concentrations of agar (~.3%). Confirmation of AHL production can be achieved by visualization of swarming (shown below).

note: the receiver construct is currently hosted on a psb2K3 plasmid.
