B-carotene (orange pigment) producing operon

Part contains the four genes CrtEBIY, which form the beta-carotene biosynthesis pathway.

The four genes sequentially convert fanesyl diphosphate into beta-carotene (a vitamin A precursor)

Beta-carotene is an orange pigment
